ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to evaluate the severity of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) using a technique called Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT). The goal is to see if EIT can help predict the damage to the lungs that is usually assessed with a CT scan, without the need for invasive procedures. This could make it easier and more convenient for doctors to monitor the health of patients with COPD over time.
To participate in this study, you need to be over 20 years old and show symptoms of COPD, even if you haven't had a formal diagnosis yet. You should also be able to communicate with the doctors and agree to take part in the study by signing a consent form. If you decide to join, you will undergo an EIT examination, which is a simple and non-invasive test. It's important to note that if you have had a CT scan recently, it should be within 180 days of your lung function test for your information to be included in the study. This research could lead to better ways to understand and manage COPD in the future.
