ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the effects of a procedure called nipple micropigmentation, which is a type of tattooing, on women who have had a mastectomy due to breast cancer. The study aims to understand how this procedure impacts women's body image, self-esteem, sexual function, and intimacy with their partners. Participants will have the micropigmentation done 6 to 12 months after their breast reconstruction surgery, ensuring that their healing process is complete.
To be eligible for this study, women must have undergone a mastectomy and breast reconstruction, be able to read and understand Spanish, and have internet access. Women who have had a nipple tattoo before, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or choose not to participate will not be included. Participants can expect to share their experiences and feelings about their body image before and after the micropigmentation procedure, helping researchers learn more about its benefits for women in similar situations.
