ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how certain immune cells called monocytes behave in patients with specific blood disorders known as myeloproliferative neoplasms, including Polycythemia Vera, Essential Thrombocythemia, and Primary Myelofibrosis. The goal is to better understand the characteristics and functions of these cells in people who have not yet started treatment for their condition.
To be eligible to participate, you must be diagnosed with one of these conditions according to recent guidelines and not have received any treatment for your blood disorder at the time of testing. Participants will need to give their consent to join the study and be willing to share their information with a hospital database. Throughout the study, participants can expect to undergo sampling of their blood to help researchers gather valuable data. This study is currently recruiting participants of all genders aged 65 to 74, and it’s important to note that individuals with other blood cancers or those under 18 years old cannot take part.
