ClinConnect Summary
The PRICELESS trial is studying the health habits of middle and high school students who participate in sports to see how well they take care of themselves outside of training and competitions. This includes important behaviors like getting enough sleep, eating healthy foods, staying hydrated, preventing injuries, and maintaining good mental health. The goal is to understand how many young athletes are following these healthy practices, as research has shown that many don’t always adhere to recommended guidelines.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be middle or high school students involved in a sports club or training program. They will be asked to fill out a questionnaire about their health habits throughout the year 2024, before their medical check-ups. This information will help the researchers gather insights on how young athletes prepare themselves for sports, which could lead to better support and resources for their health and performance in the future. If you're a student athlete or know someone who is, this could be a great opportunity to contribute to important research in youth sports health!
