ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Elastography in Predicting Renal Outcome," is studying a special imaging technique called shear-wave elastography. This method helps doctors assess how stiff kidney tissue is, which can provide valuable information about kidney diseases and predict how well the kidneys will function over time. The researchers believe that understanding the stiffness of kidney tissue may help in determining the extent of kidney damage and guide treatment decisions.
To participate in this study, you must be an adult who is scheduled for a kidney biopsy and a kidney ultrasound. Unfortunately, younger patients under 20 years old or those unable to hold their breath for at least 5 seconds won't be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to undergo the elastography test alongside your regular procedures, which may help improve future care for kidney disease. This study is currently looking for around 273 participants, and your involvement could contribute valuable insights into how to better manage kidney health.
