Dry Eye Diagnosis Tear Ferning

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new test called the tear ferning test to help diagnose dry eye syndromes. Dry eye is a condition where your eyes don't produce enough tears, leading to discomfort. The researchers are looking for participants aged between 20 and 65 who may have symptoms of dry eye. To qualify for the study, potential participants must have specific results from eye tests that show they likely have dry eye disease.

If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo the tear ferning test, among other assessments, to help better understand your condition. It’s important to note that individuals with certain chronic diseases like diabetes or hypertension, as well as those with specific eye diseases, are not eligible to participate. This study aims to improve the way dry eye is diagnosed, which can help in providing better treatment options for those affected.
