ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into the causes of itching related to liver diseases, specifically a condition called intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP), which can happen during pregnancy. The researchers want to find out if certain natural substances in the body can trigger this itching. To do this, they will apply these substances to the skin and use a needle-free injection to see how they affect itching. Participants will complete a questionnaire to rate how intense the itching feels.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be healthy adults. However, those with certain conditions like mental health issues, skin diseases, or those who are currently taking medication will not be able to join. This trial is still in the planning stages and hasn't started recruiting participants yet, so it’s a good opportunity to help researchers understand more about this uncomfortable symptom and possibly improve the lives of those affected by liver-related itching in the future.
