ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective a specific type of treatment called osteopathic manual therapy is for patients who have both fibromyalgia and temporomandibular disorders (TMD). Fibromyalgia is a condition that causes widespread pain and can greatly affect a person's quality of life. TMD refers to problems with the jaw joint that can cause pain and discomfort. The goal of the study is to see if this therapy can help reduce pain and improve function in these patients.
To participate in the study, you need to be at least 18 years old, diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and have been experiencing moderate pain or issues with your jaw joint for over three months. You also need to be able to understand Spanish or Catalan and be willing to sign a consent form agreeing to participate. If you have had recent surgery on your head, face, or neck, or if you have certain other medical conditions, you might not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive the treatment as part of the study and will be closely monitored to see how well it works for them.
