ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Meditation can be in improving the quality of life for young people recovering from drug addiction at a rehabilitation center in Biratnagar. The researchers want to see if this type of meditation can help reduce feelings of anxiety and depression, increase happiness, and lower the chances of relapse after treatment. The trial will include 160 young men over the age of 18 who have struggled with drug use and are currently in the rehabilitation center. They will be divided into two groups: one will participate in a 3-month meditation program, while the other will receive standard treatment.
Participants in the meditation group will learn techniques for meditation, positive thinking, and motivation, spending one hour each day for six days a week on these activities. The researchers will check in with everyone one month after they leave the rehab center to see how they are doing. This study aims to gather information that could help improve rehabilitation practices in the future by incorporating meditation techniques, making it an important step in supporting young people in their recovery journey.
