ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into how well we can find certain viruses in the feces of people who do not have gastrointestinal (stomach-related) infections but may have other viral infections. Researchers will gather and analyze data from 1,600 previously published studies and collect fecal samples from 400 individuals: 200 who are healthy and 200 who have known viral infections. By studying these samples, they aim to create a database of viruses found in the intestines of healthy people and see if viruses from other infections can also be detected in their feces.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be between 18 and 75 years old, in good health without obvious symptoms of disease, and not on long-term medication. They should also have a healthy lifestyle and be willing to complete a questionnaire and provide a fecal sample. Pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as those with certain health conditions, cannot participate. If you join the study, you can expect to provide a sample and share some health information, helping researchers understand more about how viruses behave in the body.
