ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how therapeutic play can help children with cancer manage pain and emotions during their treatment. Specifically, it involves children aged 10 to 18 who have been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and are currently receiving chemotherapy. The study takes place at the Children's Hematology Clinic in Adana City and runs from May 19, 2024, to May 19, 2025. Over a four-week period, eligible participants will take part in play sessions designed to support their emotional well-being and improve their ability to cope with pain.
To be eligible for this trial, children must be between 10 and 18 years old, have a diagnosis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and be undergoing chemotherapy. Children with other chronic diseases or those younger than 10 or older than 18 will not be included in the study. Participants can expect to engage in fun and therapeutic activities that may help them feel better emotionally and physically during their treatment. This trial aims to provide valuable insights into how play can positively influence the experiences of young cancer patients.
