ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different weight loss methods, such as dietary programs and bariatric surgery, can affect certain health markers in people who are obese and have liver disease. Obesity is a serious condition that can lead to other health problems, and sometimes diet and exercise alone aren't enough to help people lose weight. In this trial, researchers want to see how these different treatments impact patients' health by looking at changes in fats in the body, immune system responses, and specific molecules in the blood.
To participate in this trial, you need to be an adult over 18 years old, have a body mass index (BMI) over 30 (which means you are considered obese), and have been diagnosed with liver disease using a special test called Fibroscan. The study is currently recruiting participants, and everyone, regardless of gender, is welcome to join. If you qualify and choose to participate, you'll be monitored closely to see how these weight loss strategies work for you and how they might improve your overall health.
