ClinConnect Summary
The TORNADO study is looking at how to create personalized risk models to understand health better, specifically for high-performance pilots in the Italian Air Force. The researchers aim to find out how various factors, such as biological samples (like urine, blood, and saliva) and lifestyle data, can help identify risks for conditions related to oxidative injury, stress, and cardiovascular health. By using advanced techniques, including artificial intelligence, the study aims to gather valuable insights that could improve health monitoring and prevention for both military personnel and the general public.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be active members of the Italian Air Force, either in flight service or ground support, and between the ages of 26 and 38. They must agree to provide biological samples and use a wearable device to track their health exposure. Those selected will be part of a research process that collects data at different times, helping to uncover important health information. This study is currently recruiting participants who meet these criteria and is an exciting opportunity to contribute to advancements in personalized medicine.
