ClinConnect Summary
The "Stronger: Muscle Strengthening for Menopause" trial is studying how to help women going through menopause build muscle strength at home. During menopause, many women face challenges like muscle and bone loss, and often find it difficult to start strength training due to concerns about safety, lack of time, or not knowing what exercises to do. This study aims to create a simple strength training program using resistance bands that can be done at home, with support from experts to guide participants.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be women who have not had a period for at least a year and can speak English. They should not already be doing regular strength training or exercise. Although the trial is not yet recruiting, participants can expect to learn safe and effective strength training techniques to help improve their overall health during menopause. This program aims to make strength training more accessible and enjoyable for women in this stage of life.
