ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether watching a personalized informative video before labor induction can help reduce anxiety in pregnant women. The researchers want to see if this video is more effective than the standard counseling that patients usually receive. The trial focuses on women who are 18 to 45 years old and are about to undergo a medically necessary induction of labor due to specific health reasons.
To participate, women must be at term in their pregnancy and have an unfavorable cervix, which means their cervix is not ready for labor. They will need to consent to the study and should be able to understand the questionnaires used to measure anxiety. Women who have certain medical conditions, such as sensitivity to specific medications or complications like preterm labor or stillbirth, will not be eligible. Participants can expect to watch the video and then complete an anxiety questionnaire before their labor induction. This study aims to improve the experience for mothers-to-be during a potentially stressful time.
