ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new tool called the AeviceMD Monitoring System, which aims to help people with asthma manage their condition better and reduce severe asthma attacks. The study will involve 180 participants, including both children (ages 7 to 17) and adults (ages 18 and older) who have asthma. To be eligible, participants must be currently experiencing an asthma flare-up, be willing to use the AeviceMD device, and have access to a smartphone and Wi-Fi.
During the trial, participants will use the AeviceMD to keep track of their lung sounds remotely, which can help them monitor their asthma and prevent worsening symptoms that might require a hospital visit. The study will last for three months and will also assess how easy the device is to use for both patients and doctors. Overall, this trial aims to see if using the AeviceMD can improve asthma management, enhance quality of life, and reduce the need for healthcare visits. There are no expected risks from using the device, making it a promising option for better asthma care.
