ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the pain that people experience after having their lower wisdom teeth, also known as mandibular third molars, removed. The researchers want to find out if using a treatment called advanced platelet-rich fibrin can help reduce pain and improve healing after surgery. They are also looking to identify specific factors that could predict whether someone might develop long-lasting pain after the extraction. This study is important because pain after dental surgery can sometimes last longer than expected, and understanding the reasons for that can help improve patient care.

To be eligible for the trial, participants need to be at least 18 years old and have a wisdom tooth that is partially or fully impacted, meaning it is not properly positioned in the mouth and needs to be surgically removed. However, people with chronic pain conditions, those who need pain medication every day, pregnant individuals, or those with mental health issues that may affect their expectations about the surgery cannot participate. If you join the study, you will receive care related to your tooth removal, and your pain levels will be monitored to see how well the treatment works. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and everyone is welcome to apply.
