ClinConnect Summary
The AGING HF Study is a research project aimed at understanding the health and treatment of older patients, specifically those aged 75 and above, who are hospitalized for heart failure. Heart failure is a condition where the heart has trouble pumping blood effectively. This study will look back at data collected from April 2020 to December 2023 and then continue to gather new information until August 2026. The goal is to better understand the clinical features of these patients and what might trigger their heart failure.
To be eligible for this study, patients must be 75 years or older and currently hospitalized in a geriatrics ward for heart failure. Importantly, patients must also be able to give their consent to participate. Those who are younger than 75, do not wish to join the study, or are under legal guardianship are not eligible. Participants can expect to contribute to important research that could improve care for older adults with heart failure in the future.
