ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at a new smartphone-based system designed to help assess and treat myofascial pain syndrome (MPS), a common condition that causes muscle pain. MPS is characterized by painful areas in the muscles called trigger points, which can lead to discomfort and limited movement. The goal of the study is to create a system that allows patients to use their smartphones to identify these trigger points and develop personalized treatment plans, making it easier for people to manage their pain independently, especially during times when in-person visits may be limited.

To participate in the trial, individuals must be diagnosed with myofascial pain syndrome by a rehabilitation physician and exhibit specific symptoms, like regional pain and tenderness in the muscles. However, those with certain conditions, such as recent surgeries, neurological diseases, or acute inflammation, will not be eligible to participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to use the smartphone system for assessment and care, helping you understand your pain better and find effective ways to manage it. This study has not started recruiting participants yet, but it aims to offer a convenient solution for those dealing with MPS.
