ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding and preventing "refractive surprises" that can occur after cataract surgery. A refractive surprise happens when patients do not achieve the vision correction they expected, which can lead to dissatisfaction and visual issues. The goal of the study is to improve the process of cataract surgery by using precise measurements and techniques to help ensure that patients reach their desired vision after the procedure.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be adults scheduled for cataract surgery and experiencing significant problems with their vision, such as a spherical or cylindrical error greater than 1 diopter, or those who have difficulty seeing clearly without correction. Participants can expect to be part of a study aimed at enhancing surgical outcomes, and their experiences and results will contribute to better practices in cataract care. Importantly, patients with complicated cataracts or certain eye conditions will not be eligible to join the trial.
