ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how people feel pain during and after a procedure called an open muscle biopsy, which is done to check for neuromuscular diseases. The researchers want to understand the different experiences of pain in adults over 18 years old who are suspected to have a muscle disorder and need this biopsy. By collecting information through a questionnaire, they hope to learn more about pain management during the procedure and help healthcare providers better support patients in the future.
To participate in the study, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have a clinical suspicion of a muscle disorder that requires a biopsy at GH Pitié Salpêtrière hospital. However, those who do not speak French, are pregnant, lack health insurance, or are under legal protection cannot take part. Participants can expect to share their pain experiences after the biopsy, which may help improve how pain is managed for others in similar situations.
