ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different types of anesthesia—local versus general—affect patients' levels of fear and anxiety, as well as how well their wounds heal after dental surgery, specifically wisdom teeth extraction or jaw implants. Many people feel anxious about dental procedures, and this stress can impact the healing process. The researchers want to see if patients who receive general anesthesia experience less anxiety and better healing compared to those who undergo the same surgeries with local anesthesia, where they stay awake.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and in good health (classified as ASA 1 or 2, which means you have no serious health issues). All participants will be required to sign consent forms and work with the researchers throughout the study. If you join, you can expect to be monitored for your anxiety levels before and after the surgery, and your healing will be tracked as well. This study aims to help improve dental surgery experiences and outcomes for patients who may feel anxious about their procedures.
