ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on developing and testing a new digital health app designed to help people manage their weight and improve their overall health. The app will use a method called Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to help users control their food cravings, combining this approach with artificial intelligence (AI) to track their nutrition and mood based on pictures they take of their meals. The goal is to provide a personalized, on-demand solution for weight management, particularly for those struggling with obesity.
To participate in this study, individuals must be between the ages of 18 and 65 and have a body mass index (BMI) of 27 or higher, which indicates they are overweight or obese. Unfortunately, those with a history of cancer, unstable mental health, or severe physical disabilities will not be eligible. Participants can expect to use the app over a 12-month period, starting with three months of app design followed by nine months of testing its effectiveness. Throughout the study, their weight and health will be monitored to see how well the app helps in managing weight and preventing related health issues.
