ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how to better involve autistic children and teenagers, aged 7 to 17, in the process of getting support at a Habilitation Centre. The researchers want to see if using surveys (questionnaires) or group meetings helps these young individuals share their needs and experiences when they first arrive at the center. By learning more about their preferences, the aim is to improve how they receive care and support.
To be eligible for the trial, participants need to be diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Unfortunately, those with intellectual disabilities cannot participate in this study. While the trial is not yet recruiting, once it begins, interested families can expect their children to take part in either completing a survey or joining a meeting to discuss their needs and feelings. This trial is an important step in making sure that autistic children and adolescents have a voice in the support they receive.
