Laughter Yoga Premenstrual Syndrome Adolescent

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effects of laughter yoga on premenstrual syndrome (PMS) in young women. PMS can cause physical and emotional symptoms that make it hard for high school students to participate in classes, socialize, and maintain family relationships. Laughter yoga combines deep breathing and laughter exercises and has shown positive results in other groups, like older adults and healthcare workers. The researchers want to see if this practice can help alleviate PMS symptoms in adolescents.

To participate in the trial, girls ages 14 to 19 with a regular menstrual cycle (periods every 21-35 days) and who are not currently receiving any medical treatment for PMS are eligible. Participants will be asked to agree to take part in the research and will not have had any recent surgeries or chronic health issues. Throughout the study, participants will engage in laughter yoga sessions and can expect to see if this enjoyable practice helps with their PMS symptoms. It’s a chance to explore a fun and potentially helpful way to feel better during a challenging time.
