ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help stroke patients recover movement in their arms using a robotic device. Many stroke survivors experience weakness on one side of their body, which can make it hard to use their arms. The researchers are testing a special robotic system designed to provide safe and effective therapy for improving arm movement. This system not only assists with exercises but also adapts to each patient’s needs, making the rehabilitation process more personalized and effective.
To participate in this trial, patients should be between the ages of 65 and 74, have mild muscle tightness (scoring 2 or less on a specific scale), and have a good understanding of their situation (a score of 24 or higher on a mental state examination). However, patients with other neurological conditions, recent surgeries, or those participating in other rehabilitation programs will not be eligible. Those who join can expect to engage in therapy sessions using the robotic device, which aims to improve their arm function while providing careful monitoring of their progress. This innovative approach could lead to better recovery outcomes for stroke survivors.
