ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how a personalized lifestyle program, combined with CPAP therapy (a common treatment for sleep apnea), can help improve symptoms and quality of life for people with moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) who are overweight. The study aims to find out if tailored lifestyle changes, like increasing physical activity and reducing sedentary time, can lead to better sleep quality, improved health, and a more active lifestyle. Participants will be divided into different groups to see which approach works best.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between 18 and 70 years old, have been diagnosed with moderate to severe OSA, and have a body mass index (BMI) over 25. Importantly, those who have previously used CPAP or have certain serious health conditions will not be eligible. Participants can expect to engage in a structured program designed to help them increase their activity levels while receiving support for their sleep apnea treatment. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it offers a chance to contribute to understanding how lifestyle changes can significantly benefit those living with sleep apnea.
