ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new MRI technique called 3D DL oZTEo, which aims to improve the detection of bone changes in the hands of patients with inflammatory arthritis. Inflammatory arthritis can cause damage to the bones, known as erosions, and identifying these changes is important for managing the condition and making treatment decisions. Currently, doctors usually rely on regular X-rays or standard MRI scans to look for these bone changes, but this new technique may provide better results.

To participate in this trial, you must be an adult at least 18 years old and have had an X-ray of your hands within the last 3-6 months that shows bone erosions. You should also be scheduled to have an MRI of your hands as part of your regular care at Mayo Clinic Rochester. If you choose to join, you can expect to undergo the new MRI scan, which will help researchers understand how well this technique works compared to the usual methods. Your involvement could contribute to improvements in how doctors diagnose and treat inflammatory arthritis in the future.
