ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effects of a tele-rehabilitation program for children who have suffered burn injuries. The researchers want to find out if using online rehabilitation resources, like video calls and messaging, is better than regular rehabilitation that happens in-person after the child leaves the hospital. The trial aims to see if tele-rehabilitation can help improve the healing of scars, the overall care for children with burns, and even reduce stress for their parents.

To participate, children must be between 3 to 6 years old, have a burn injury that covers at least 1% of their body, and the burns should be on areas like the neck, trunk, limbs, or face. Only Chinese-speaking parents will be included, and they must be able to use social media apps for communication during the trial. Families can expect to engage in online sessions and have their progress monitored while being supported throughout the rehabilitation process. This study could offer valuable insights into how tele-rehabilitation can help young burn survivors and their families.
