ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on creating a new system to measure tremors in people with Essential Tremor, a condition that causes uncontrollable shaking. Researchers want to see if they can use Virtual Reality (VR) to help identify people with Essential Tremor compared to those without it, and to see if they can accurately measure the severity of the tremors and any associated movement issues like dystonia. Participants will wear special equipment and perform a series of standard movements, both in and out of the VR setting, with the whole assessment taking about an hour.

To participate in this study, individuals need to be between 18 and 80 years old and must be able to understand and agree to take part in the trial. Those with Essential Tremor or a related condition can join, but people with other types of tremors or neurological disorders will not be eligible. The trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders, and it’s a great opportunity for those affected by Essential Tremor to contribute to important research that could improve how this condition is evaluated and treated.
