ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well patients with a special type of heart device called a subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillator (S-ICD) can hear the alert sounds that the device makes. These alerts are important because they help patients know when their device is working or if there’s a problem. The researchers want to find out if patients can easily hear these sounds and how that affects their overall experience with the S-ICD.
To participate in this trial, patients need to be equipped with an S-ICD and be willing to join the study. However, if someone has had the device implanted in the last three weeks or if they are deaf, they won’t be eligible to participate. If you join the study, you can expect to share your thoughts and experiences about hearing the alert sounds from your device, which can help improve care for future patients. The trial is currently looking for participants of all ages, so if you meet the requirements and are interested, you could make a valuable contribution to this important research.
