ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether acupuncture can help reduce chronic pelvic pain in women. The researchers want to see if this alternative treatment is more effective than other pain management methods for women who experience pelvic pain, regardless of whether they have a history of sexual assault. The specific acupuncture method used in this study is called the Dragon's protocol, which aims to relieve pain that isn’t caused by endometriosis.
To participate in this trial, women aged 21 to 65 who have chronic pelvic pain and can receive care at Nellis Air Force Base may be eligible. This includes active duty military women and their dependents. Participants will need to meet certain requirements, such as not having endometriosis and not being pregnant. If you join the study, you can expect to receive acupuncture treatments and help contribute to understanding a potentially cost-effective way to manage pelvic pain for many women.
