ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating the effects of Robotic-Assisted Total Knee Replacement (RTKR) compared to traditional Total Knee Replacement (TKR) for patients with knee osteoarthritis. The goal is to see if the robotic technique offers more precise surgery, which could lead to better recovery and lower healthcare costs. Researchers will measure how well the patients feel their knee is functioning in daily life, along with other factors like activity levels and any complications after surgery.
To participate in the study, you need to be an adult aged 18 or older and eligible for knee replacement surgery according to local guidelines. If you have specific medical issues or extreme knee alignment problems, you might not be able to join. The study will involve around 400 patients, and those who enroll can expect to be randomly assigned to receive either the robotic or traditional surgery. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and your involvement could help improve knee surgery techniques for future patients.
