ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a program called Change My Story, which is designed to help young people living with HIV who are also dealing with depression or psychological distress. The goal is to see if this interactive game, when combined with a type of support called problem-solving therapy (PST), can be more effective than using PST alone in improving mental health and medication adherence among young individuals in Nigeria.
To be part of this study, participants must be between 16 and 24 years old, HIV-positive, and able to read and understand English. They should have a moderate level of depression based on a specific questionnaire. However, individuals who are pregnant, have been on HIV treatment for less than six months, or have a history of serious mental health issues like bipolar disorder or psychosis cannot join. If eligible, participants will engage with the Change My Story game and receive support to help improve their mental well-being. The trial is not recruiting yet, but it aims to provide valuable insights into how to better support young people living with HIV.
