ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on improving the way doctors diagnose polyneuropathy, which is a condition affecting the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord. Researchers want to see if a special ultrasound technique called sheer wave elastography can be used reliably and conveniently as a routine test for different types of peripheral nerve issues. The goal is to create guidelines that help doctors use this test more effectively in their practices.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be between 18 and 80 years old and show signs of polyneuropathy that aren't explained by other medical conditions. However, people with certain nerve problems, like those caused by injuries or other specific conditions, won't be eligible. Participants can expect to undergo testing with this ultrasound method, and the trial aims to make nerve diagnosis easier for everyone in the future. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it will be open to all genders.
