ClinConnect Summary
The clinical trial is exploring a new tool designed to help prevent falls in adults with intellectual disabilities. Falls can seriously affect their health and well-being, so the study is adapting an existing program, known as the ACTION FALLS programme, to meet the unique needs of this group. The goal is to create a version of the program that can effectively identify fall risks and provide tailored support to reduce those risks. Adults with intellectual disabilities, along with their caregivers and healthcare providers, will test this program to see how easy it is to use and to provide feedback on what works well and what could be improved.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be at least 18 years old and either have an intellectual disability or be a clinician or caregiver working with someone who does. The trial is currently looking for participants in Nottinghamshire. If you join the study, you can expect to use this new tool and share your thoughts about your experience. Your input will be valuable in making sure the program is effective and easy to use for everyone involved.
