ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a special treatment called ketoacid analogues affects inflammation in patients who are undergoing hemodialysis, which is a process to help those with kidney failure. Inflammation can be a common issue for these patients, and the researchers want to see if this treatment can help reduce it during their dialysis sessions.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be between 65 and 74 years old and receive hemodialysis twice a week. Unfortunately, those who are traveling for their treatments, have certain acute health conditions, or have specific illnesses like HIV or recent strokes cannot participate. If chosen for the study, participants will receive the ketoacid analogues during their dialysis sessions, and the team will monitor how this treatment impacts their inflammation levels. The trial is not yet recruiting, so there’s no need to worry about signing up just yet!
