ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new airway clearance technique called Oscillation and Lung Expansion to see how well it works for people with bronchiectasis, a condition that affects the lungs. The trial will compare the effects of this technique with another method called postural drainage. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two groups, and researchers will look at how each method affects symptoms, quality of life, and the amount of mucus patients can clear from their lungs.
To participate, individuals should be adults experiencing an acute worsening of bronchiectasis symptoms. However, there are some important health conditions that might prevent someone from joining, such as having severe bleeding from the lungs, recent lung surgery, or serious heart or brain diseases. If eligible, participants can expect to engage in treatment sessions and help researchers learn more about which airway clearance method might be more beneficial for patients with bronchiectasis.
