ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the best ways to take impressions (or molds) of the mouth for patients who have had dental implants placed. Specifically, it will compare two techniques: the traditional method and a modern digital method. The goal is to see which method produces a more accurate impression, which will help ensure that the dental prosthesis (the replacement tooth structure) fits better. The study will involve 30 patients who have lost all their teeth and have received 4 to 6 dental implants.
To be eligible for this study, patients should be edentulous (meaning they have no natural teeth) and have had surgery to place implants suitable for a fixed prosthesis. Patients with serious health conditions or certain difficulties, like severe dementia or muscle tremors, will not be able to participate. If you join the study, you can expect to have both types of impressions taken, and the researchers will determine which one is more accurate. The final prosthesis will be checked to ensure it fits properly during a follow-up appointment. This study aims to improve dental care for patients with missing teeth, making their new teeth more comfortable and functional.
