ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to validate a mental health survey called the Alimetry® Gut-Brain Wellbeing Survey-Youth Version (AGBW-Y). This survey is designed for young people aged 12 to 17 who have chronic stomach issues, such as nausea, vomiting, and other gastrointestinal problems. The goal is to ensure that this survey accurately reflects the mental health needs of these young patients, helping healthcare providers understand how their stomach symptoms might affect their overall well-being.
To participate in this study, candidates must be between 12 and 17 years old, and they should be able to read and write in English. They also need to meet certain medical criteria, meaning they should have a diagnosed gastrointestinal disorder like gastroparesis or cyclic vomiting syndrome. However, individuals who have self-induced vomiting or eating disorders will not be eligible. If chosen to participate, young people can expect to complete the survey and contribute to important research that could help improve care for others with similar health challenges. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it's an important step toward better understanding the link between mental health and chronic stomach symptoms in young people.
