ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how progressive relaxation exercises can help kidney donors feel less pain after surgery. When someone donates a kidney through a procedure called laparoscopic donor nephrectomy, they might experience not only physical pain but also emotional stress. The goal of this study is to see if practicing relaxation techniques can reduce pain and anxiety following the surgery.
To participate in this trial, donors need to be between 65 and 74 years old, able to read and understand the study details, and willing to join. However, those with a history of chronic pain or who face complications during surgery will not be included. Participants will be randomly placed in either a group that practices relaxation exercises or a control group that does not. Throughout the study, their pain levels will be measured, helping researchers understand the impact of these relaxation techniques on recovery. This study is still in the planning stages and has not started recruiting participants yet.
