ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a short, daily exercise program can help improve walking ability and overall physical performance in older adults who have trouble with mobility. Specifically, researchers will look at the effects of just 5 minutes of functional resistance training each day over a period of 12 months. They will compare the results of those who participate in the training with a group that will start the training later.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be older adults who find it difficult to walk a quarter of a mile. However, those who experience chest pain during exercise will not be able to take part. If someone joins the study, they can expect to follow a simple daily exercise routine and be monitored over the year to see how it improves their mobility and walking skills. It’s important to note that the trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there will be more information available soon for those interested.
