ClinConnect Summary
The PRATICAdr 2.0 study is looking at a new web application designed to help people with common mental disorders, like depression and anxiety, return to work more effectively. By using this app alongside support from a Return-to-Work Coordinator, the study hopes to shorten the time people are on sick leave and lower the chances of them needing more time off due to a relapse. The trial will include 80 employees from large public health organizations, with half using the new app and the other half receiving standard support services.
To participate, individuals must be on sick leave for 1 to 3 months due to a common mental disorder and be members of certain unions within the participating health organizations. Unfortunately, those who cannot communicate in French, have specific medical conditions, or have had previous sick leaves for similar reasons won’t be eligible. If someone joins the study, they can expect to receive either the new app and additional support or the usual services, and their progress will be closely monitored throughout the trial.
