ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a procedure called esthetic crown lengthening, which is used to improve the appearance of smiles by adjusting the gum line. The researchers want to see if different methods—using a scalpel, a diode laser, or electro-surgery—can achieve the same stability of the gum line after the procedure over a period of 3 and 6 months.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should have specific dental conditions, such as having teeth that are proportionately short and excessive gum showing when they smile. They should also have a history of treated gum disease. However, individuals with certain health issues, like uncontrolled diabetes or those who have had prior surgery in the same area, won't be able to participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive one of the three treatments and will be monitored for several months to see how well your gum line holds up after the procedure.
