ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome, a condition that affects the wrist and can cause pain, numbness, or weakness in the hand. The researchers want to see if a specific technique that involves moving the wrist bones can improve the function of the median nerve, which runs through the wrist and is often affected in this condition. To do this, some participants will receive the manual technique, while others will not, allowing researchers to compare the effects.
To participate, individuals need to be at least 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome. They should also be able to understand and communicate well and agree to take part in the study. Participants can expect to undergo the wrist mobilization technique and have their nerve function measured to see if there are any immediate benefits. Importantly, those who have had previous surgery on their hand or wrist or have limited movement of the wrist bones cannot join the study.
