ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), a condition that causes pain, numbness, and tingling in the hand and arm. Researchers want to see how different techniques that move and stretch the nerves can improve the function of the median nerve in patients with CTS. In the trial, participants will be divided into three groups: two groups will receive the nerve movement techniques, while one group will get a placebo treatment, which means they will not receive the actual therapy. Before and after the treatments, the researchers will measure how well the median nerve is working to see if there are any improvements.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be over 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome. They should also be able to understand and communicate effectively and must agree to take part in the study. However, individuals who have had previous surgery on their hand or wrist or have significant movement limitations in their affected arm will not be included. This study aims to provide valuable information about the immediate effects of nerve mobilization techniques on CTS, helping doctors better understand how to treat this condition in the future.
