ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new approach to help people recover from strokes, which often leave them with difficulties using their arms and understanding where their body is in space. The researchers are combining virtual reality (VR) with a treatment called transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS). The idea is to create an immersive VR environment where patients can see a virtual version of themselves and perform movements that are important for their recovery, while also feeling physical sensations through the TENS treatment. This combination aims to improve not just movement but also how patients perceive their own bodies and surroundings.
To join this trial, participants must be at least 16 years old and have experienced a stroke at least three months prior to enrolling. They should have certain levels of motor function, which will help the researchers tailor the tasks to each person's abilities. The trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders, and it's designed to adapt to individual needs, making rehabilitation more engaging and effective. If you're interested in helping advance stroke recovery techniques, this study might be a great opportunity!
