ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a special tool for managing alarm sounds on bedside monitors can help reduce alarm fatigue among nurses in intensive care units (ICUs). Alarm fatigue happens when nurses are overwhelmed by too many alerts from monitoring machines, which can make it harder for them to focus on patient care and may affect patient safety. The trial aims to see if using a personalized alarm monitoring tool, developed by researchers, can make it easier for nurses to manage these alarms, ultimately improving safety for critically ill patients.
To participate in this study, nurses must be currently working in the ICU and willing to use the alarm control tool. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but once it starts, eligible nurses can expect to receive training on the tool and contribute to research that could help improve the working environment for nurses and the safety of patients. It's important to note that nurses who leave the ICU during the study or do not use the tool will not be able to participate.
