ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different treatments for carpal tunnel syndrome, which is a condition that can cause pain, numbness, and tingling in the hand and wrist. The study compares the effectiveness of peloid therapy (a mud treatment) and paraffin treatment (a warm wax application) to see which one helps reduce symptoms better. Participants in the trial will have already received either of these treatments and will be evaluated for their pain and symptoms using simple questionnaires and tests that measure how well their nerves are functioning.
To join the trial, participants need to be between 18 and 65 years old and diagnosed with mild to moderate carpal tunnel syndrome for at least three months. However, people with certain nerve conditions or those who have had previous treatments for carpal tunnel syndrome will not be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to have your symptoms assessed before treatment, four weeks after treatment, and again twelve weeks later to see how well the therapies are working. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and everyone is welcome to apply, regardless of gender.
