ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the effectiveness of a therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help people who struggle with problematic chemsex, which means using drugs to enhance sexual experiences. The goal is to see if this therapy can improve the mental health and well-being of individuals who are dealing with issues related to hypersexuality and compulsive sexual behavior.
To participate in this study, individuals need to be at least 18 years old, speak Spanish, and have used drugs to help with their sexual activities in the past year. They should also feel significant discomfort about their sexual practices and want to reduce their excessive sexual behavior. However, people currently receiving other psychological treatments or those with specific mental health conditions won't be eligible. If you qualify and decide to join, you can expect to engage in therapy sessions aimed at helping you cope with your experiences and improve your quality of life. It's important to note that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there will be more information available once it starts.
